Soccer fans take over Bronx Little Italy for Euro 2024

Unfortunately for Albania fans, Albania was defeated by Spain 1-0. While Italy tied 2-2 against Croatia, securing enough points to advance to the next round.

Soccer fever filled the Bronx Little Italy on Monday.
The Belmont Business Improvement District held a watch party for the Albania vs. Spain and Italy vs. Croatia matches. The teams are competing in the UEFA Euro 2024 soccer tournament.
Crescent Avenue and Adams Place were shut down with soccer fans, as they watched their teams play on giant 15-foot TV screens.
"It's very wholesome, the Albanian community is growing in New York and with prosperity, Albanians' can achieve great things, " said Albin Aliu, an Albania fan.
Unfortunately for Albania fans, Albania was defeated by Spain 1-0. While Italy tied 2-2 against Croatia, securing enough points to advance to the next round.
The BID says they plan to host more events like this in the future.
