Two Bronx residents are celebrating their 100th and 101st birthdays with residents in the Throgs Neck community.

One of those centenarians is Rae Salzarulo, an Italian immigrant and the youngest of 11 children. She has worked as a dressmaker, a secretary at the Empire State Building and a hospital volunteer. She says her secret ingredient to long life is an open heart and love for her family.
